The combination of the current cost of living crisis in the UK, being overworked and underpaid in the NHS, and saving as much as I can before I go to university in just over a year has meant that the amount of money I have left after my necessary expenses is gradually decreasing. But why should that mean I don’t get to look STUNNING when I leave the house? So here is a list of my current top 10 favourite affordable beauty products.
1. Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara

This mascara has become my ALL TIME FAVE! Honestly, it’ll take a lot for this to stop being my everyday mascara. It makes your lashes look insane, doesn’t make your lashes look clumpy and layers beautifully. Also, for my blonde see through lash queens, This. Works. Wonders!
2. 17. Glow Is Everything CC Cream

This CC cream is honestly one of the best ones I’ve ever tried, and for £4.00 can you really go wrong? It blends beautifully into your skin whether you use a beauty blender, a brush or your fingers, and is absolutely perfect for those “no makeup” makeup days.
3. 17. Light Reflect Liquid Highlighter

This liquid highlighter is incredible. You can build the highlight up for an extra glowy “out out” look, or it blends beautifully with the 17. CC cream in number 2 for a beautiful naturally glowy look. And, just like the CC cream, it just melts into the skin.
4. CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser

Before I started using this I had super textured, bumpy skin, I kept getting random breakouts dotted around my face and my face just never felt fully clean, but this cleanser has made my skin so smooth and glowy, whilst both exfoliating my skin and moisturising it at the same time. Love, love, love.
5. Aveeno Cream with Natural Colloidal Oatmeal

For all my other healthcare queens and anybody else who can relate, the constant handwashing, sweaty hands in gloves and basically just using your hands constantly can make them pretty dry and nasty * prays it’s not only me who gets crusty hands * I find the majority of regular hand creams come in tiny tubes that don’t last me long AT ALL, and are usually super perfumed and sting if my hands are ever cracked. So, whilst not actually labelled as a hand cream, this has been my saving grace!
6. Sunday Rain Mango and Coconut Bubble Bath

On the rare occasion that I do find the time to have a long relaxing bath, I like to make sure I have bubbles that last and leave me smelling incredible. You do too? Then this is your next bathroom must have. Smells amazing, makes fantastic bubbles to please your inner child, and is an absolute bargain.
7. OGX Damage Remedy + Coconut Miracle Oil Extra Strength Penetrating Oil

Unfortunately, I’m not as blonde naturally as I’d like to be, meaning the secrets out… I bleach my hair. One of the not so great side affects of bleached hair is that it can get pretty dried out. But using this on towel dried hair before either blow drying or air drying leaves my hair super soft and smelling divine!
8. Beauty Bay Fiery 42 Colour Palette

My mum bought me this as a christmas present last year and, I won’t lie, at first I was skeptical. However, this palette blew my mind, and when I was nosy and had a look at the price, I was shocked, it’s an absolute steal. The. colours are gorgeous, they blend together beautifully and the glitters are so pigmented.
9. Anastasia Beverly Hills - DIPBROW Pomade

I have been using this on my eyebrows for the past couple of years and I love it. It can be used in so many different ways to suit your personal style. I use it for bold brows for when I’m going “out out”, and fluffy brows for my more casual days.
10. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

Ever since watching Zoella’s makeup tutorials when I was in year 8, I have been obsessed with this concealer and it’s pretty much the only one I’ve used since. It’s got amazing coverage, a really nice consistency, and an amazing range of shades.
